Do I have to register in advance or can I register on-site?
We strongly recommend that you register in advance, which guarantees you have a printed badge, conference materials and seating available upon your on-site registration check-in. 

However, on-site registration is accepted and registration payment must be paid in full at time of registering.

What forms of payment are accepted for registration?
Accepted forms of payment in USD are Credit Card (MasterCard, Visa, or American Express) /
Bank Transfer and Company Check. If you need to pay via bank transfer or company check, please contact and request details.  Please put Fifth Annual GPCA Forum payment by check or bank transfer in the subject line of the e-mail.

How do I receive a paid receipt for my payment?
The confirmation sent by Chemical Week via e-mail serves as confirmation and a receipt as it specifies the date and the amount of payment made.

If you need additional information please contact Chemical Week customer service at to request a paid receipt.

How can I receive an invoice to process my bank transfer or check payment?
Please contact Chemical Week customer service at to request an invoice. 

How do I know if my registration was submitted, will I receive a confirmation?
You will receive confirmation via e-mail to the e-mail address provided to us when you registered.

How do I make a modification to my registration badge?
Please click onto the following link: Fifth Annual GPCA Registration Modification Link and input your confirmation number which is located within the body of the confirmation e-mail which you received at the time of registration.

Can I attend only one day of the two days of The Fifth Annual GPCA Forum?
Yes, however the registration fee will be the same as the total meeting price.

Is there a registration deadline?
On-line registration will close at 5:00 pm Eastern Time on Friday 3 December 2010.
After 3 December, you can register at The Fifth Annual GPCA Forum registration on-site counters on Tuesday, 7 December between 2:00pm and 8:00pm.

However, we strongly recommend that you register before 3 December to ensure your conference materials and seating.

What is included in my registration fee?
Your registration fee includes the following:

  • Conference Badge – which allows entrance into conference and breakout sessions, exhibits, internet café, refreshment breaks, lunches, and dinners 
  • A conference delegate bag designed to hold your conference materials
  • CD-ROM with speaker presentations (not all presentations will be available, only the ones submitted by speakers in advance)
  • Conference Materials (Program, speaker profiles)
  • Access to the exclusive Forum Online Community.    

When will registration check-in / on-site registration open?
Registration check-in and on-site registration will be open from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, 7 December 2010.  Registration will re-open at 8:00 am on 8 and 9 December 2010.

How do I check-in for registration?
Conference badge and materials will be waiting for you at the registration check-in counters located at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City.  If you are registering for the first time on-site please proceeded to the on-site registration counter.   

What do I need to present at the registration counter to receive my materials on site?
For security reasons, please provide your confirmation letter along with a business card or photo ID in order to receive your conference badge, materials and gain access to the forum.

If I am unable to attend, what is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to Chemical Week at . Cancellations made 45 days prior to December 7 will be subject to a 15% cancellation fee. Registrants who do not cancel prior to December 7 will be liable for the full registration fee. Non-payment or non-attendance does not constitute cancellation.

If for any reason, Chemical Week/GPCA decides to cancel or postpone this event, Chemical Week/GPCA is not responsible for hotel and other travel costs incurred by registrants. No refunds will be processed prior to the event.

Cancellations received less than 45 days from the start of the conference (8 December) will be issued a letter of credit to be used at a future Chemical Week conference. This credit is valid for up to one year from the date of issuance.

If I am unable to attend, can another person go in my place?
Substitutions may be made at any time for confirmed registrants. Notice of substitution must be made in writing and sent to: Nicole Morris at .

Do I have to make my own hotel reservation?
Yes. Chemical Week and GPCA have worked with the InterContinental hotel on a special group reservation rate to be offered to The Fifth Annual GPCA Forum delegates.

You must register for the conference first and then we will send you information on how to obtain the hotel reservation form that you will need to fill out to receive the special discount rate.

*Above rates are subject to 10% municipality fees and 10% service charge.
*The Group rate is effective from 04th until 10th December only.

Nationals of the following Countries do not require Visas to enter the United Arab Emirates (UAE):

Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtain, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States of America, and Vatican.

The Fifth Annual GPCA Forum program is avaliable online at gpcaforum.net/agenda.

Do I need to pre-register to attend the optional breakout session?
You do not need to register for the optional breakout session. Forum registration will allow you into either breakout session. However, seats fill up quickly so we encourage you to arrive early.

How can I obtain a copy of the conference proceedings?
All registered conference attendees will receive a CD ROM containing all speaker presentations which were submitted to us in advance. Speaker presentations not included on the CD ROM will be available shortly after the Fifth Annual GPCA Forum concludes on Chemical Week’s online bookstore.
